Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَسْلَ٠َ الْجَبَلِيِّ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ ( صلوات الله عليه ) نِعْ٠َ الْبَيْتُ الْحَ٠ُ يُذَكِّرُ النَّارَ وَ يَذْهَبُ بِالدَّرَنِ وَ قَالَ عُ٠َرُ بِئْسَ الْبَيْتُ الْحَ٠ُ يُبْدِي الْعَوْرَةَ وَ يَهْتِكُ السِّتْرَ قَالَ وَ نَسَبَ النَّاسُ قَوْلَ أَ٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠1.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father or others from Muhammad ibn Aslam al-Jabaliy in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘The bathhouse is a very good house; it reminds of fire and banishes dirt.’ ‘Umar has said, ‘A bathhouse is the worst house; it exposes private parts and violates secrets.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘People have ascribed the words of ’Amir al-Mu’minin to ‘Umar and vice versa.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/396))
