A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Saâid from Hammad ibn âIsa from Shuâayb from Yaâqub who has narrated the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who dies and about what is for him from his legacy. He (the Imam) said, âOne third of his legacy is for him and this applies to a woman also.ââ صØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (23/20))
