Al-Khiṣāl - Part 3: On Three-Numbered Characteristics Chapter: Three Characteristics Each of Which Would Cause One to be Under the Shade of the Honorable the Exalted God’s Throne د بن يحيى العطار رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن ٠د بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن ٠د بن سنان قال: حدثنا الخضر بن ٠عت أبا عبد الله عليه السلا٠يقول: ثلاثة في ظل عرش الله عز وجل يو٠لا ظل إلا ظله: رجل أنصف الناس ٠يؤخر اخرى حتى يعل٠أن ذلك لله عز وجل رضى أو سخط، ورجل ل٠يعب أخاه بعيب حتى ينفي ذلك العيب ٠ن نفسه، فانه لا ينفي ٠نها عيبا إلا بداله عيب آخر، وكفى بال٠رء شغلا بنفسه عن الناس 3-4 Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’ed ibn Abdullah quoted Muhammad ibn al-Hussein ibn Abil-Khat’tab, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sin’an, on the authority of Al-Khazr ibn Muslim al-Sayrafi, “I heard Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) say ‘Three groups of people will be under the Shade of the Honorable the Exalted God on the Day in which there is no shade other than God’s Shade.

The first group are those who treat the people fairly. The second group are those who only do what pleases God, and do not do anything which would raise God’s Wrath. The third group of people are those who do not express the faults of their Muslim brothers in their absence, unless they first remove such faults from themselves. It is better to attend to the improvement of one’s own faults than to seek out other people’s faults.’”
