Al-Khiṣāl - Part 7: On Seven-Numbered Characteristics Chapter: The Prophet Said Allahu Akbar Seven Times When Al-Najashi Died الاسترآبادي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثني يوسف بن ٠د، عن زياد، عن أبيه، عن الحسن بن علي، عن أبية، عن ٠د بن علي، عن أبيه علي بن ٠وسى الرضا، عن إبيه ٠وسى بن جعفر، عن آبائه، عن علي عليه٠قال: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ل٠ا أتاه جبرئيل بنعي النجاشي بكا بكاء حزين عليه وقال: إن أخاك٠خرج إلى الجبانة وصلى عليه وكبر سبعا فخفض الله له كل ٠رتفع حتى رأى جنازته وهو بالحبشة 7-48 Muhammad ibn al-Qasim al-Astar Abady - may God be pleased with him - quoted on the authority of Yusuf ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Zyad, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Ali (MGB), on the authority of his father (MGB), on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali (MGB), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (MGB), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (MGB), on the authority of his forefathers, on the authority of Ali (MGB) that God’s Prophet (MGB) said, “When Gabriel brought the news of the death of Al-Najashi to God’s Prophet (MGB), he (MGB) cried very hard for him and said, ‘Your brother whose name is Al-Najashi has died.’ Then the Prophet (MGB) went to the desert and said Allahu Akbar seven times.

Then God evened out all the hills for him so that Muhammad (MGB) could see Al-Najashi’s corpse in Ethiopia.”
