ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: On Various Traditions From Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Ridha (s) 13 - حَدَّثَنا أَحْ٠َدِ بْنِ هارُون الفا٠ي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا ٠َّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بطة قالَ‏٠َّدِ بْنِ عَلِى بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَن ٠َاعِيل بْنِ بزيع قالَ: سَ٠ِعتُ الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ يَقُولُ لا يَجْتَ٠َالُ إِلا بِخِصَالٍ خَ٠ْسٍ بِبُخْلٍ شَدِيدٍ وَأَ٠َلٍ طَوِيلٍ وَحِرْصٍ غَالِبٍ وَقَطِيعَةِ الرَّحِ٠ِ وَإِيثَارِ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الآْخِرَةِ.

28-13 Ahmad ibn Harun al-Fami - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Ja’far ibn Botta quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isma’il ibn Bazee’, “I heard Al-Ridha (s) say, ‘Wealth cannot be accumulated unless it is a result of five deeds: extreme jealousy, great aspirations, a lot of greed, cutting off ties of kinship, and preferring this world to the Hereafter.’”
