Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-`Attar (may Allah have mercy on him) said, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Sahl ibn Ziyad, on the authority of some of our scholars that I wrote to Abu al-Hasan al-Kadhim (AS) asking him about the body and image of Allah, so he replied in writing: âGlory be to Him who has nothing whatsoever like unto Him, and who is devoid of both body and image.â
