My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn WalÄ«d both narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-SaffÄr, from Aḥmad ibn Ḥasan ibn âAli ibn FaÄÄÄl, from âAmr ibn SaâÄ«d, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from âAmmÄr ibn MÅ«sÄ Al-SÄbÄÅ¥i, who said: I asked AbÄ âAbdillÄh (Imam SÄdiq (a.s.)), âIs praying in the Mosque of the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) the same as praying anywhere else in MadÄ«nah?â Imam (a.s.) replied, âNo.
One SalÄt (prayer) in the Mosque of the Messenger of AllÄh (s.a.a.w.) is equal to one thousand prayers elsewhere. However, praying anywhere else in MadÄ«nah is just like praying in any other city.â
